Weight & Food Love...Not proportional

"How come you love food, yet  you don't show it (physically)??"
This....! This was one of the weirdest ( a little bit frustrating) job interview questions I have ever got. & mind you it was not related to a food company but rather to a social media/ advertising agency. So the person who asked me, and who comes from IT background, has no relation with Food...

Though I never posted about this "physical aspect" of one's body. Because I am against talking about it.
As every person experience certain situations & environment conditions that can affect his/her own body.  So we cant generalize over the matter of physical appearance.

But since when does our physical bodies show our passion towards something.
Alright maybe a muscled man will show that he goes regularly to the gym, but that doesn't mean he likes it... A short woman might appear she doesnt play basketball, but perhaps she do and she loves it!

I Will Disappear

I will disappear like the falling rain that touches your face, and then drying out on the pavement, once the sun shines on it.
I will disappear like the green color  of the leaves you saw on  that tree, fades as winter approaches.

I will disappear like the symphony playing strictly by the orchestra in a concert you attended.

I will disappear like the pain vanishing instantly after the needle pierces your fingers.

I will disappear like the lights of the airplane taking off, as it levitates higher in the sky.

I will disappear like the eyeliner that cover those eyes, gets removed off as night approaches.

I will disappear like the words written on the postcard, as the dust ate them throughout the years.

I will disappear. I will depart.
  But beware!

I will transform.
Like that rain drop transformed into free bubbles roaming in the air.
Like that leaf transformed into a beautiful yellow color, flying away from its bounded tree.
Like that symphony transformed into a sweet humming, played generously by all who heard the symphony.
Like that pain transformed into a giggle because the ache was foolish and minute.
Like that light transformed into a vigorous one when the same plane landed back again.
Like that eyeliner that transformed into a plain truth that unraveled the fakeness of those eyes.
Like those words transformed into a memory that can never be erased.
And so, I will transform into something more free, more beautiful.
For I was something that was real and now I am something that is intangible.

The Bumble Bee Happiness

This time I am not posting anything related to culinary or food sciences, rather just  about food as a basic need for all living beings.

Alot of people  really dont know ( including me sometimes) how lucky they are to have food on the table everyday for atleast 4 times.
We really dont know how lucky we are that we can actually taste and have safe , healthy and delicious food.
We really dont know how lucky we are we can enjoy eating wherever we go.
I am not going to turn this post into a drama because the title indicates " happiness".
This wont be an article that will tackle food insecurity.
Neither will I  list the countries and number of people suffering from hunger, drought and food borne diseases.
You can find those in FAO's reports, UN 's statements, government's regulations ....etc.

My blog  is just a place for thoughts.. a place to bring comfort and peace  for all my readers. Not a place for redundant data and helpless statistics. ( Not that I don't appreciate all agencies working on collecting vital information but sometimes i feel that nothing is changing in this world.)

So, let us take a moment and think about this :
Happiness surely comes from food. So,  let us always be thankful that we  have this pleasure all the time.
Let us not grumble if that food had less salt, or if that plate had a hair in it, or if the juice wasn't cold enough.
Just accept it. And be in peace with what life has to offer you :)

All these thoughts rushed through my mind , as  i was  I looking at  some pictures I took in summer 2010 of a bumble bee struggling to bite a piece of bread! :). I was pretty sure it was grateful hundred times more than us that it found this bread to help her go through the day.
So, Let us have this " Bumble Bee Happiness"

Bumble Bee Munching a Bread Crump

P.S :I was glad it didnt transform into the Transformer's Bumble bee  car though :P
